Secure Select is an embryo transfer prioritization technique based on non-invasive chromosome screening, which consists of analyzing a small amount of the culture medium where IVF embryos have developed. Genetic material originating from cells of the embryo is found in this culture medium.
Studying this material provides us with information on the chromosomal status of the embryo with a level of concordance that varies from 78 to 83% when compared to trophectoderm tissue biopsy. This allows us to select the embryos with the strongest possibility of being chromosomally normal and therefore, with the highest likelihood of successfully implanting.
Step-by-Step
How does it work?
1.
Ask your Reproduction Unit about this test.
2.
We carry out genetic counselling and get your informed consent for the test.
3.
An IVF cycle and embryo culture medium collection is carried out.
4.
The reproduction team will explain the results of the test to you and will plan the transfer of the embryos with the greatest potential for implantation.
Who is it for?
When is it recommended?
For patients who want to prioritize embryo transfer that allows them to improve their success rates while also helping to reduce the time required to get pregnant.
This technique allows the transfer of embryos that have a greater capacity for implantation to be prioritized.
Secure Select helps patients to achieve better success rates.
Testing the embryo culture medium using this technique helps to reduce the time required to achieve pregnancy.
