Karyotype
The karyotype is the set of all the chromosomes of the patient, stained with a banding pattern and arranged in order. This test allows us to rule out both structural and numerical chromosomal abnormalities in the patient.
It is indicated, among other cases, in subfertile patients, those who have had recurrent miscarriages, and when chromosomal abnormalities are detected in existing children.
A karyotype study is recommended for all patients planning to undergo an assisted reproduction cycle.
